The Amazing Spider-Man (1978-1981)[]
Spider-Man had three films from 1977 to 1981 starring Nicholas Hammond as Spider-Man and a Japanese film released in 1978 starring Shinji Tôdô as Spider-Man, A television series starring Hammond titled The Amazing Spider-Mna ran from 1977 to 1979 it was cancelled after 2 seasons and 13 episodes.

Sam Raimi Films (2002-2007)[]
Spider-Man had three films from 2002 to 2007 titled The Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy directed by Sam Raimi. Tobey Maguire portrayed Spider-Man, The trilogy has received positive reviews from critics and audiences and has been considered the best superhero movies of all time. Maguire's portrayal of the character received largely positive responses from critics and fans alike, along with receiving praise from his live-action successors Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland. A fourth instalment, titled Spider-Man 4, was set to be released on May 6, 2011 and to be followed by a Venom spin-off film, but both were canceled due to Raimi's withdrawal over creative differences with the writers and producers. A reboot titled The Amazing Spider-Man was released in 2012 and the Venom spin-off was revived in 2016 by Sony and was finally released in 2018 with Venom and its sequel set within Sony's Spider-Man Universe starring Tom Hardy. Maguire, Dafoe, Molina and Church reprise their roles in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Marc Webb Films (2012-2014)[]
Spider-Man had two films from 2012 to 2014 titled The Amazing Spider-Man Duology directed by Marc Webb. Andrew Garfield portrayed Spider-Man, Compared to the Spider-Man of the previous film series directed by Sam Raimi, this version of Spider-Man has some subtle differences in personality, such as being more of an angst-ridden loner and the two films aimed to depict more of Peter Parker's personal life and motives for becoming Spider-Man in a more realistic fashion. Despite mixed reviews of The Amazing Spider-Man film series, Garfield's performance as Spider-Man has received wide critical praise. The Amazing Spider-Man series was originally intended to continue with two sequels and several spin-offs, most notably films centered on Venom and the Sinister Six. Due to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 performing below expectations, all subsequent instalments were cancelled. In favour of another reboot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Garfield, Ifans and Foxx reprise their roles in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Marvel Cinematic Universe (2016 present)[]
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe Tom Holland portrays Spider-Man. He has portrayed Spider-Man the most with a total of six appearances. In the MCU, Parker is a high school student at Midtown School of Science and Technology who received spider-like abilities after being bitten by a radioactive spider and since then has secretly operated as a vigilante. He is later recruited by Tony Stark and joins the Avengers. He first appeared in Captain America: Civil War and also appeared in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame he later appears in his own solo film Spider-Man: Homecoming it was followed by two sequels Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home another trilogy is in development starting with Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
